Want to Practice Your 5K for the Triathlon?

Here's your chance!

The 24th Annual Blacksburg Classic will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 in Blacksburg, Virginia. The races - a 1-mile fun run, a 5K, and a 10-mile - begin at Margaret Beeks Elementary School at 1:00 PM.

The run leg of the New River Valley Triathlon is a 5K - 3.1 miles. If you want to see what running that far is like, you can give it a try during the 5K race at the Blacksburg Classic.

If you want to just see how it's done, over 250 people have registered for the race, so you'll have plenty of people to watch. Go stealth and join the crowd of spectators. No one has to know yet that you're a budding sprint triathlete in disguise!
