We invite you to change your appointment with the New River Valley Triathlon from July 12, 2009 to Sunday, October 11, 2009, at 8:00 AM.
To make sure the brand new Christiansburg Aquatic Center is operating in its full, Olympic-caliber capacity, the organizers of the New River Valley Triathlon, Set Up Events, and the Town of Christiansburg have worked together to move the date of the race to be the last event in the Virginia Triathlon Series.
Given recent changes in the construction schedule, we feel fortunate to host the event this year rather than postpone it to 2010.
So you can still participate in the inaugural New River Valley Triathlon.
But if your schedule doesn't match the date change, we wanted to give you as much notice as possible so you can make other plans. Of the 21 events in the Virginia Triathlon Series, 20 are still open. We invite you to consider participation in another triathlon.
If you have already registered for the New River Valley Triathlon, Set Up Events is generously helping us out. To ensure it can run first-rate events at all venues, Set Up Events has a specific refund policy which each participant agrees to upon registration. Set Up Events is making an exception to its policy and offering a full refund to any individual or relay team signed up that cannot participate on the new date.
The organizers of the New River Valley Triathlon deeply regret any inconvenience to you.
We want your experience at the inaugural New River Valley Triathlon to be first-rate. We've got a top-of-the-line venue in the Christiansburg Aquatic Center and a well-deserving beneficiary in the Mental Health Association of the New River Valley.
We're already planning how to make the New River Valley Triathlon an even better event for you on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at 8:00 AM.
