1. It is a Great Excuse to Play!
The most fun part of making the commitment and signing up for a triathlon is having the excuse to be active with a purpose. In our world of busy, stressed living, we all need an excuse to play. Well, here it is!
Do it in the name of health, do it to impress, do it because you have a competitive void to fill, or do it simply to support the local cause. Getting prepared for a sprint triathlon is a realistic goal for the majority of the population if you have the desire. Swim a little, bike a little, run a little. It doesn’t have to be complicated, but it all adds up to being active on a consistent basis…and now you have your excuse!
Jim McGehee coaches folks that are passionate about the sport of triathlon…right here in the New River Valley. Find out more about Jim and his coaching at One-on-One Endurance.
